Transforming outdoor living across:

Built on roots, grown with purpose

Every garden should be more than just a space.

At Eden Building & Landscaping, our name carries a story close to our founder's heart. It is a symbol of faith, and a vision of what outdoor spaces can be — like the Garden of Eden itself, a place of peace, abundance, and renewal.

Our founder Eduardo grew up on a Cuban farm, where nature was both a playground and a teacher. That connection shaped his dream of creating outdoor spaces that bring people closer to each other, to the land, and to something greater.

This passion drives everything we do. Every garden should be a vibrant extension of your home — a sanctuary where families gather and memories grow. A true reflection of who you are.

Backed by a team with years of industry experience, we offer a complete, one-stop solution for all your outdoor needs — everything required to create, enhance, and maintain your outdoor space, for domestic and commercial properties alike.

Design & Planning

Where vision becomes reality.

Every exceptional garden begins with careful design. From paving, entertainment areas, pergolas, alfrescos and decking to designing around pools, we connect the outdoors of the house with the garden — front yards and back yards, domestic and commercial. We design sustainable gardens, heavily recommend native plants, and use recycled materials for our carpentry work.

1

Consultation

Meet with Ed and our designer on site to talk through goals, ideas, and everything specific to your garden. Consultations incur a fee; afterwards we send a quote to complete the design project.

2

Concept Plan

A design concept plan establishing layout, spatial flow and overall design direction. Includes three revisions: plant selections, colour palette, material specifications.

3

Master Plan

Surveyors may be needed for elevations (we can recommend companies). Final plans compare current vs proposed state, with measurements, elevations, plant schedule (colours, sizes, varieties, quantities), side views/sections, and key specifications.

Common Questions

My house hasn't been built yet — can I still get a design?+

Yes, and we encourage it. Designing during the build phase lets us collaborate with your architect or building designer on indoor-outdoor flow, levels, drainage and access.

I have a pool — can you design around a new or existing pool?+

Yes — pools are a speciality. We design surrounds, decking and planting that tie the pool into the whole garden.

How long does the design process take?+

Typically 3–6 weeks depending on the size of the project.

Do you need to return to the property during design?+

Yes — at times we revisit the property for further measurements or clarifications as the design develops.

What's involved in the site/design consultation?+

60–90 minutes on site (or online) with one of our designers. We listen to your needs, walk the property — sun and shade, privacy, access, problem areas — then explore design directions from both a designer's and a builder's perspective. Online consults follow the same structure via video call: send plans ahead and walk us around the garden. If your home is mid-build, we can meet nearby.

Does the design consultation cost anything?+

Yes — a fee applies depending on the size of your project.

Outdoor Building

Built to last, built with care.

Whether we completed your design or you bring your own drawings, we follow them through the build. We use recycled timber wherever we can — better for the environment, and it presents beautifully. With attention to detail at every step, we coordinate electricians, plumbers and trades for you. Fully qualified and insured, we pride ourselves on a clean, organised work site — domestic and commercial.

1

Meet the Team

Walk the property with your team leader and project manager before work starts, so everyone knows the plan, the access and the finish you're after.

2

Site Set-up

Materials are delivered to a safe area, an Eden sign goes up at the front for easy identification, and a lockable site box keeps tools secure and the site tidy.

3

Handover

A full walk-around on completion — we discuss your feedback and finalise the details before we call it done.

Common Questions

Does my build require permits?+

Yes, if it's under cover — check your local council's website for details, and we'll guide you through what applies to your project.

If we attach a structure to the house, will it affect the house?+

We assess this carefully in planning and engineer the structure accordingly, so your home is protected and the result is sound.

What will it cost?+

Every project differs — your quote considers materials, labour, the size of the property, slope and access.

How long will it take?+

Our team estimates the timeline once we've assessed the plans and the site — it depends on design complexity, size and slope, and material availability.

Landscaping

Gardens grown for your site.

From planting and turf to retaining walls, paving and garden beds, our landscaping team brings the design to life. Whether the drawings are ours or yours, we follow them faithfully — and if they're not ours, we may require a site visit to confirm measurements. Native plantings, sustainable choices, recycled materials. We service domestic and commercial properties.

1

Meet the Team

Walk the property with your team leader and project manager before work starts. If we didn't draw the plans, we confirm measurements on site first.

2

Site Set-up

Materials delivered to a safe area, Eden signage at the front, and a lockable site box — a clean, organised site from day one.

3

Handover

A full walk-around on completion, with establishment care guidance for new plantings so your garden thrives from week one.

Common Questions

Can you work from drawings we already have?+

Yes. If the drawings are not ours, we may require a site visit to confirm measurements before quoting and starting work.

What's your approach to plant selection?+

We heavily recommend native plants suited to your site's sun, shade, soil and water conditions — healthier gardens and a better outcome for the environment.

Do you landscape commercial properties?+

Yes — we service domestic and commercial properties, from backyard transformations to larger commercial grounds.

Garden Maintenance

Beautiful gardens, year round.

Tailored maintenance programs for domestic and commercial gardens. Quoting is done on site if required; otherwise we work to an hourly labour rate, with extra charges for machinery or green-waste removal. Why Eden for regular maintenance? Four reasons:

1

Tailored Programs

Every garden is different. We design maintenance schedules specific to your plants, your site and the look you want to keep.

2

Experienced Gardeners

Our team understands plants, soil and seasonal care — not just mowing, but genuine horticultural knowledge keeping your garden healthy.

3

Central Point of Contact

A reliable system keeps you up to date, with live tracking of the team — one contact for scheduling, questions and adjustments.

4

Beautiful Gardens, Year Round

Spring pruning, summer watering, autumn clean-ups, winter care — your garden at its best in every season.

Common Questions

How often should we have maintenance visits?+

It depends on your garden and your preferences — most clients suit fortnightly or monthly visits. We'll recommend a schedule as part of your tailored program.

What's included in a maintenance visit?+

Mowing and edging, pruning, weeding, dead-heading, mulch top-ups, pest and disease monitoring, and seasonal care tailored to your garden. Machinery or green-waste removal is charged additionally.

Do you offer commercial maintenance contracts?+

Yes — we service domestic and commercial gardens, with customised contracts and regular scheduled visits for commercial properties.

Tree Lopping

Safe, professional tree care.

From careful pruning to full removal, our team handles trees of every size — with the assessments, reports and machinery to do it safely, for domestic and commercial properties.

1

Consultation

We assess tree sizes and requirements, and determine whether assessments or an impact report are needed before any work is scoped.

2

Reports if Required

Where an impact report or assessment is needed, we quote for it and arrange it through local, qualified professionals.

3

The Work

We quote for removal or pruning, with large-scale machinery available — and we can organise traffic control if required.

Common Questions

When should a tree be removed rather than pruned?+

We assess health, structure and risk first. Selective pruning often extends a tree's life — removal is recommended only when it's the safe and sensible option.

Do we need council permits?+

Some trees are protected by local councils. We check the requirements for your property and can manage permits if needed.

Can you handle large or hard-to-access trees?+

Yes — we have large-scale machinery available, and we can organise traffic control where the work requires it.

24/7 Emergency

When it can't wait, we answer.

Storm damage, fallen trees, dangerous branches or urgent structural issues — our on-call team responds around the clock, for homes and businesses alike.

1

Call Us

Answer a few quick questions so we understand the situation and what machinery is needed — any hour, any day.

2

On-call Team Member

You're transferred to whoever is on call — they already have your details. The call-out fee covers an on-site assessment, treated cautiously and safely.

3

We're On Our Way

Rapid response: we make the site accessible, safe and protected, then complete the full clear at the next convenient time based on a quote for the balance of the work.

Common Questions

What counts as an emergency?+

Fallen or dangerous trees, hanging branches, storm damage and urgent safety hazards. If you're unsure, call — we'll tell you straight away.

Is there a call-out fee?+

Yes — the call-out fee covers the on-site assessment and making the site safe. The remaining work is then quoted before we proceed.

Can you help with insurance claims?+

Yes — we can provide documentation and photos for insurance claims, which is common with storm damage.

We started Eden because…

Melbourne homeowners deserve better.

The building trade too often runs on the tradesperson's schedule — not yours. Unanswered calls. Vague timelines. Projects that drift.

Eden was founded as the alternative. Every project is held to a single standard — serving Melbourne's north-east, and the clients who return to us by choice.

Done properly Done respectfully Done on time
