Glow Electrical Contracting Glow Electrical Contracting Concepts by Scalus

Concepts by Scalus

Four ways your website could work.

Four genuinely different ideas about what an electrical and solar website should do for you, not four colour schemes of the same page. The first three are built from the brand your current site runs today. The fourth is built from the brand new identity you sent through on 13 August, which is not on your website anywhere yet. Open each one, then tell me which is closest to how you actually work. Underneath them is a point by point on what changes, and a real check on where glowelec.com.au stands today on Google and in AI search.

Worth knowing before you look

These are concepts, not a finished site. Almost nothing here was invented, because you already have a brand and I used it.

Your palette, sampled not chosen

These values were read out of your own files. The gold is the exact colour of the bulb in your logo and of the subtitle text on your current homepage.

Concept homepages

Version 1

Three directions, each with its own design system. All three are built mobile first, because a call about a dead power point or a solar quote starts on a phone far more often than it starts on a desktop.

Your new brand, direction four

Added 18 Aug

Built from the brand new GLOW identity you submitted on 13 August, not the old gold logo the first three directions were built on. Dark, minimal and technically confident, in your own words: sharp, trusted, current. Updated 18 August into a full multi-page site: six dedicated service pages, eleven suburb pages across Maroondah, Whitehorse and Boroondara, a real work gallery pulled from your own ServiceM8 job records, and a chat widget wired to your own GoHighLevel account, set to Supreme and Switzer, two typefaces chosen by matching letterforms against your own logo rather than a default set.

Side by side

What is different, point by point

Compared against www.glowelec.com.au as it stood on 18 August 2026

I went through your current site properly before I built anything, so the concepts are not a fresh coat of paint. Every point below is a real difference between what is on your site today and what is on those three pages above.

The search side of it is measured separately in the check underneath this.

01

Your brand has moved on and your website has not

Your site today

Your site still runs the old gold bulb mark. Since 13 August you have a brand new identity, the black and blue GLOW wordmark with the plug in ring, and it is not on glowelec.com.au anywhere.

In the concepts

Concept four is built entirely on the new identity, your real blue and grey, so you can see how the new brand actually reads on a website before it goes anywhere else.

02

The phone number does not match your own van

Your site today

Your website lists 03 9835 3050, a landline. Your own van signage and your onboarding form both list 0437 668 856 as the number to call.

In the concepts

One number, the one on the van, click to call on every page.

03

The page a customer clicks to check your work

Your site today

Gallery is in your main menu and the page has nothing on it.

In the concepts

The concepts are honest about this too. Nothing has been invented to fill it, the frames are labelled as a spot ready for real job photos.

04

How old the site actually is

Your site today

The footer says 2021 and the sitemap was last touched in June 2022. There is also a stray line of leftover template text, Clayton Christensen, sitting under your reviews, and the page keywords are still the Wix demo set, disruption, technology, collaboration, strategy, business.

In the concepts

None of that carries over. Every line on the concepts is either your own words or clearly labelled as a placeholder.

05

One page for the whole business

Your site today

The whole site is one page plus the empty gallery page. Every nav link is an anchor further down the same page, so there is almost nothing for Google to index beyond the homepage.

When it is built

A proper build gives solar, EV charging and every suburb its own page, which is most of why the AI search score sits at 44 out of 100 today.

06

ChatGPT and the rest can actually read you

Your site today

Your site has no llms file and does not welcome the AI crawlers by name. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI each read a site with their own crawler, so today they largely go past you.

When it is built

Every build ships an llms file that describes the business in its own words with a question and answer section, and a crawler list that names every current AI crawler as allowed. Detail is in the check below.

07

Tapping the number calls you

Your site today

Your phone number is written on the page but it is not a link, so on a phone it cannot be tapped to call.

In the concepts

The number is a tap to call link in every concept, in the header and again at the bottom of the page.

08

The questions people ask before they book

Your site today

Nothing on your site is published as question and answer data. Wherever you do answer a question, it is text on a page and nothing more, so an assistant cannot lift the answer and hand it to the person who asked.

When it is built

A question and answer set in your own words goes on the built site, published as data as well as text, so the answer can be quoted back to whoever asked.

09

Your reviews can be read back by a machine

Your site today

Your reviews are not published in a form a machine can read, so they cannot show as stars in a result or be quoted to someone asking for a recommendation.

When it is built

The built site publishes them with review data attached, so the same reviews you already have start doing work in search as well as on the page.

10

Your photos are described

Your site today

58 percent of the images on your homepage carry a text description, so most of your own work is invisible to search and to a screen reader.

In the concepts

The concepts describe 100 percent of theirs in plain words.

Every line above was read off the pages themselves on 18 August 2026, both yours and the three concepts, so you can check any of it while we talk. The search and AI search side is measured in the check below.

SEO & AI Search Check

Checked www.glowelec.com.au on 13 August 2026

Before any of the concepts existed I ran your current website through the same check I run on every Scalus site. It scored 70 out of 100 for how ready it is for Google, and 44 out of 100 for how ready it is for AI search.

The AI search number is the one worth talking about. It is whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI overviews can read the site and quote Glow Electrical Contracting when somebody asks them for a recommendation. At 44 out of 100 there is real ground to make up, and most of it is quick.

In total 10 items came back needing attention. They are listed below in the order I would fix them, and every one of them is included in a Scalus build.

70
Overall health
Google search readiness
44
AI search readiness
ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity
Search basics
The tags Google reads first.
91
Structured data
How machines understand the business.
50
AI search readiness
Whether answer engines can read and quote the site.
44
Site files
robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt.
75
Technical health
HTTPS, headers and valid markup.
79

What I would fix

10 items
  1. Missing

    Business identity schema

Nothing on the page identifies the business itself to a machine. No name, no area served, no contact.

What I would do: Add business identity data with your service area.

  2. Missing

    Crawlers allowed

Something in your settings is telling crawlers to stay out.

What I would do: Open the site to search crawlers.

  3. Missing

    AI crawlers welcomed

The AI crawlers are not welcomed by name. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI each read the site with their own crawler, and if they are not named they may not read you at all.

What I would do: Name every current AI crawler as allowed.

  4. Missing

    HTML validity

The page code has validity errors, which can quietly break how a crawler reads it.

What I would do: Clean up the markup errors.

  5. Weak

    Indexable

The tags that tell Google it may show your images large and quote more of your text are missing.

What I would do: Add the full robots meta directives so your listing can show more.

  6. Weak

    WebSite schema

The site itself is not described to search engines.

What I would do: Add website level data.

  7. Weak

    FAQ schema

You have no question and answer data. This is the strongest single signal for getting quoted by ChatGPT and by Google AI overviews.

What I would do: Add a set of real questions and answers to the site.

  8. Weak

    Review schema

Your reviews are not readable by machines, so they cannot show as stars or be quoted back to someone asking for a recommendation.

What I would do: Publish your reviews with review data attached.

  9. Weak

    llms.txt FAQ section

Your llms file has no question and answer section, which is the part models quote from.

What I would do: Add an FAQ section to the llms file.

  10. Weak

    Security headers

Some standard security headers are missing. Not a ranking issue, but it is the sort of thing that gets a site flagged.

What I would do: Add the standard security headers.

Checked on 13 August 2026 with the same free checker at scalus.app/seo-geo-checker. Scores move as a site changes, so this is a snapshot of that day, not a permanent grade.
