Wattle Glen · Melbourne north east
It is all in the prep.
Painters for the places with a bit of character in them. Victorian homes, period houses and the older places around Melbourne north east, brought back properly rather than rushed over. Quotes are always free.
The work we want
The old places are the ones worth doing.
Plenty of painters are happy with a new box that goes up in a week and looks like the one beside it. Proflo would rather have the house with the ceiling roses, the picture rails and a hundred years of paint on the weatherboards. Those jobs take longer, they take more preparation, and they are the ones worth standing in front of afterwards.
- Victorian and period homesOrnate plaster, timber sash windows, high ceilings and the detail work that a rushed job skips.
- Restoration rather than cover upAnything unsound gets repaired before it gets painted, because paint over a problem is just a slower problem.
- More than a brushWallpaper, specialist finishes, micro cement, render and plaster, so one crew can carry the whole job.
- Colour talked through on siteMost people want a hand with it. That conversation happens in your own rooms, in your own light, before a tin is bought.
What we do
Paint, paper, render and plaster.
Painting is the trade, and the rest of it is done in house rather than handed to somebody else. That means one crew, one standard and one person answering the phone. Not sure whether yours suits? Ask Gianni and you get a straight answer.
Painting inside and out
Whole houses, single rooms, weatherboard and render. The preparation is done first, every time, because that is the part that decides how the finish holds up.
- Walls, ceilings and trim
- Doors, skirting and architraves
- Weatherboard, render and eaves
- New builds, schools and shopfronts
Restoration and character homes
Older places where the surfaces need sorting out before anything goes on them. This is the work Gianni takes most pride in and the work Proflo wants more of.
- Victorian and period houses
- Flaking, tired and damaged surfaces
- Ornate plaster and fine detail work
- Heritage sympathetic colour choices
Wallpaper, render and finishes
The sub trades that usually mean a second contractor and a second wait. Proflo does them alongside the painting, on the same job, to the same standard.
- Wallpaper hanging and specialist wallpaper finishes
- Micro cement
- Rendering
- Plastering
Why the prep matters
Anyone can roll paint on. It is all in the prep.
The prep comes first
Filling, sanding, sealing and masking before a brush is picked up. It is the slow part, and it is the reason the finish lasts.
Attention to detail
Straight cut in lines, clean edges and the bits most people never look at done properly anyway.

Free quotes, no pressure
Every quote is free and there is nothing owing if you decide against it. You get a real figure off a real look at the place.
Our jobs
Gianni’s own work belongs here.
These tiles are placeholders on purpose. On the finished website this is a gallery of Proflo’s real jobs, photographed on site, along with the walkthrough video of completed work.
The crew
You will know who turns up.
Proflo is Gianni and his cousins, not a rotating list of subcontractors. These tiles are placeholders until the photographs are taken, and then they are the actual faces who walk through your front door.
What a review section would look like.
Proflo Painters has no reviews published yet, so there are none to show here. These are written examples, not customers. Every finished job asks for a review automatically, so this section fills itself in over the first few months.
“Example placeholder. This is where a real customer review would sit once the Google profile is collecting them.”

Does a quote cost anything?
No. Every quote from Proflo is free, and there is nothing owing if you decide not to go ahead. Painting is priced off the surfaces, the preparation and the access, so the figure comes from a proper look at the place rather than a guess over the phone.
Do you only do old houses?
No, and a new build or a shopfront is perfectly welcome. Character homes are simply the work Gianni enjoys most and wants more of, so if you have a period place you will find someone genuinely interested in it.
Do you do more than painting?
Yes. Wallpaper hanging and specialist wallpaper finishes, micro cement, rendering and plastering are all done in house alongside the painting. That usually saves waiting on a second trade to become available.
Which areas do you cover?
Proflo Painters is based in Wattle Glen and works across Melbourne north east. If you are nearby it is worth asking rather than assuming, because the answer is usually yes.
What does the prep actually involve?
Filling, sanding, repairing anything unsound, sealing and masking. It is the slowest part of any job and the part that decides whether the finish still looks right in five years. It is also the first thing a cheap quote leaves out.
Can you help me choose a colour?
Yes, and most people want that help. The choice gets made on site in your own light, where a colour behaves completely differently to a chip held up in a shop. On an older home that matters even more, because the light and the original detail both have a say.
Is my job too small?
No job is too small. One room, one feature wall or a single front door is a perfectly normal call, and it gets the same preparation as a full house.
When can I reach you?
Any time. Call or text Gianni on 0426 472 399, or use the chat on this page, and you will get an answer back, including outside the usual trade hours.
