Nervous system physiology
How your body is organising itself under pressure. Breathing pattern, reflexes, posture, and where your system is holding threat outside conscious awareness.
That is usually the point women find me. I work with the patterns your body is running, not just the ones you can think your way through.
In clinic in Ringwood North and Port Melbourne. Three and six month programmes only.
If you are like most women who work with me, you look capable. You hold it together. Until you can't. These are the things women actually name when they come in.
"When you avoid what you're feeling, your body is left to carry what you won't."
This is where the work lives. Leave one out and the other two do not hold.
How your body is organising itself under pressure. Breathing pattern, reflexes, posture, and where your system is holding threat outside conscious awareness.
The way you hold pressure with other people. Pleasing, managing, bracing, withdrawing. These are learned responses, not personality.
The part nobody advertises. Change needs repetition, and it needs you to participate between sessions rather than wait to be fixed.
A longer breath out than in is the piece of this work with the most research behind it. Follow the orb for a minute and notice whether anything shifts. Nothing to sign up for.
Short and often does more than one long attempt to relax. Sixty seconds, a few times a day, is the version that actually works.
How your body is organising under stress. Breathing patterns, neurological reflexes, posture and range of movement where it is relevant.
Most of the session is spent here. Precise hands on techniques that support your system to downregulate, working with the diaphragm, the vagus nerve and the lymphatic system.
Using muscle testing, we locate where your body is holding threat outside conscious awareness. Not what you can describe. What it is actually doing.
Breath retraining, movement and vagus nerve work between sessions, plus direct access to me by message. The repetition is what makes it stick.
No jargon and no typing. Tap the answer closest to the truth, not the one that sounds best. You will get a plain description of what your system is doing and what tends to help first.
Hyper vigilance or shutdown did not arrive in a week and it does not leave in one session. I do not offer one off appointments, because they do not change anything.
Stabilises your system and interrupts the immediate, reactive patterns. Fortnightly in clinic sessions plus direct access to me between them.
Embeds the new responses deeply enough that they hold under real strain, not just on a good week. This is where the change stops being fragile.
Conflict stops hijacking the whole day. There is a gap between the thing happening and your response to it.
Less tightness, better sleep, and a shorter recovery after something goes wrong.
The energy that went into holding it together is available for something else.
Sarah holds twenty one five star reviews inside her booking system. The three below are placeholder wording written to show the layout. Her real reviews would replace them.
Placeholder review text for layout. A short paragraph in the client's own words about how they felt after a few months, written the way a real review reads.
Placeholder review text for layout. Two or three sentences is the length that reads best here without crowding the card.
Placeholder review text for layout. Real reviews would be pulled across from her booking system once a direction is chosen.
No. This is hands on work with your nervous system rather than a talking therapy, and it does not replace medical or clinical care. If you are working with a GP, a psychologist or a specialist, this sits alongside that, not instead of it.
No. One off sessions do not change a pattern that took decades to build, so I only work in three and six month programmes. If you only book when life falls apart, it makes sense that nothing really changes.
Not in the way you are picturing. Most of the session is spent on the table and the work is physical rather than conversational. We are changing the pattern at the level it is actually being run, not analysing it.
Most women who come to me have. Understanding why you do something and being able to stop doing it are two different things, and insight alone does not reach the responses that keep you switched on.
Two clinic rooms in Melbourne, one in Ringwood North and one in Port Melbourne, with different days at each. Exact addresses and times are confirmed when you book.
You get practices to do at home, breath retraining, movement and vagus nerve work, plus direct access to me by message. The repetition between sessions is where most of the change actually happens.
Tell me where you are at. If this is the right fit I will say so, and if it is not I will tell you that too.
