Front fence and gate
Lower, so it frames the house instead of hiding it. This is the job people look at every day, which makes the setout and the gate hardware matter most.
Wall then fence
Where the ground steps, the sleeper wall goes in first with drainage behind it, and the fence sits on top. Doing it the other way around is how fences end up leaning.

Rails on, then palings or sheets, working to a level top line rather than following the ground up and down.
Clean and check
Gates hung and swung, offcuts and clips off the ground, and a walk along the line with you before we go.
