The first decision most people make when they book with us is not which car, it's which kind of hire. Self drive or chauffeured changes the price, the paperwork and the whole shape of the day.
Self drive suits a plan you control
If your day has stops that are hard to predict in advance, or you simply want the car for yourself, self drive is the more flexible option. It is priced per 24 hours across all 22 cars on the schedule, with a daily kilometre allowance of 100, 150 or 200 kilometres depending on the vehicle.
Chauffeured suits an occasion
Weddings, corporate transfers, nights out and airport runs are almost always chauffeured. The vintage and classic fleet is chauffeur driven only, priced by the hour with a three hour minimum, and so are the five chauffeur exclusive cars, the Cullinan, the S450, the i7, the RS6 and the Flying Spur.
The middle ground
Much of the modern fleet can go either way, so it is worth thinking about the actual day rather than defaulting to one option. A wine tour for a group is a chauffeured booking almost by definition. A weekend away with one car and one driver is usually self drive.
Still not sure?
Tell us the occasion on the enquiry form and we'll suggest which way makes more sense, along with the right vehicle for it.
