PeninsulaPlumbing Maintenance

Website concepts

Three ways your website could work

Same business, same words, three different directions. Have a look at all three and say which one feels like you. Nothing here is live and nothing is final.

Worth knowing before you look

Everything written on these pages came from your current site, from the ABN register, or from what you told us on the phone. Nothing was made up to fill a gap.

That means there are no prices, no response times, no star ratings, no reviews, no licence numbers and no photographs of real jobs, because none of those are published anywhere yet. Each concept says so on the page rather than hiding it. Your own photos and your own numbers go in when the site gets built.

The pictures are drawn, not photographed, and they are labelled that way.

Honest split

What is real, and what was left blank

Real and checkable

  • The five services, in your own words from your current site
  • Mornington Peninsula and the surrounding suburbs
  • Plangton Plumbing Pty Ltd, ABN 56 669 527 431, registered July 2023
  • GST registered since October 2023
  • Business name Peninsula Plumbing Maintenance, registered March 2026
  • Local family run, and more than 15 years in the trade, as you have it written now
  • Your logo, and the colours sampled out of it

Deliberately left blank

  • Any price, call out fee or hourly rate
  • Any response time or a 24 hour callout
  • Any star rating or review
  • Any licence or registration number
  • Any written guarantee
  • Any photograph presented as one of your jobs
  • Any list of suburbs, until you say which ones

The one that matters most

There is no Google Business Profile for Peninsula Plumbing Maintenance. Not an unclaimed one, not a thin one. Nothing at all. Every one of the 25 plumbers inside 30km of Rosebud has a claimed profile, a website, and somewhere between 28 and 290 reviews.

On the Peninsula, plumbing gets chosen from the map results, and right now you are not in them. The website is the foundation for fixing that, and it is worth doing in that order, but the listing is the part that changes the phone ringing.

Side by side

What is different, point by point

Compared against penpm.com.au as it stood on 8 September 2026

I went through your current site properly before I built anything, so the concepts are not a fresh coat of paint. Every point below is a real difference between what is on your site today and what is on those three pages above.

The search side of it is measured separately in the check underneath this.

01

A way to ring him

Your site today

There is no phone number anywhere on the page and no tap to call link. On a phone, someone with water coming through a ceiling has no way to reach him.

In the concepts

An enquiry is on the first screen of every concept, and the pinned bar on a phone keeps it one tap away the whole way down.

02

A phone field on the form

Your site today

The form asks for a name and an email only. On a trade where the job starts with a call, the number is the one thing it does not collect.

In the concepts

Name and mobile are the required pair, with email optional, and every field is 56px tall so it is easy to finish one handed.

03

Photographs

Your site today

One image on the whole page, the logo. Two large empty slots sit where pictures were meant to go.

In the concepts

Drawn illustration carries the layout for now, labelled as drawn. His own job photos replace it when the site is built.

04

More than one page

Your site today

The whole site is a single page, so there is no page about blocked drains, about CCTV inspections or about gas fitting for Google to rank.

In the concepts

The concepts are homepage directions. The build adds a page per service and per area, which is what the competitors already have.

05

A description Google can use

Your site today

The description tag is GoDaddy boilerplate about booking an appointment. It says nothing about drains, cameras, gas or the Peninsula.

In the concepts

Every page carries its own title and description written around what he actually does and where.

06

A decent link preview

Your site today

No share image is set, so a link sent in a message or on Facebook previews as a bare grey card.

In the concepts

Each concept carries a real 1200 by 630 share image taken from the page itself.

07

Structured data so search engines and AI can read it

Your site today

None at all. Not a single block of structured data, so nothing tells Google or an AI assistant that this is a plumbing business on the Mornington Peninsula.

When it is built

The build adds the LocalBusiness, Service and FAQ markup, which is the strongest single signal for showing up in AI answers.

08

A Google Business Profile

Your site today

There is no listing at all. Every one of the 25 plumbers within 30km of Rosebud has a claimed profile with between 28 and 290 reviews. He is not in the map results anyone actually taps.

When it is built

Creating and verifying the profile is the first job after the site, and it is worth more than the site on its own.

09

Any reviews at all

Your site today

Zero, on every platform. Nothing for a stranger to weigh him against the seven other plumbers they can see.

When it is built

The review request system asks every finished job for one, and routes an unhappy one to a private form instead of a public star.

10

Suburb pages

Your site today

Not one. Searches happen suburb by suburb on the Peninsula and there is nothing to match them.

When it is built

A page per real suburb he works in, written once and kept honest, rather than 60 thin copies.

11

A machine can tell what the business is

Your site today

There is no structured data on your homepage at all, so nothing on the page tells Google or an AI assistant that you are a business, what you do or where you work. It is the single biggest reason you are not quoted in an AI answer.

When it is built

The full stack goes on when the direction you pick gets built, the business itself, your services, your service area and your reviews, all linked together. The concept pages are demonstrations and are deliberately held out of search, so they do not carry it yet.

12

ChatGPT and the rest can actually read you

Your site today

Your site has no llms file and does not welcome the AI crawlers by name. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI each read a site with their own crawler, so today they largely go past you.

When it is built

Every build ships an llms file that describes the business in its own words with a question and answer section, and a crawler list that names every current AI crawler as allowed. Detail is in the check below.

13

The questions people ask before they book

Your site today

Nothing on your site is published as question and answer data. Wherever you do answer a question, it is text on a page and nothing more, so an assistant cannot lift the answer and hand it to the person who asked.

When it is built

A question and answer set in your own words goes on the built site, published as data as well as text, so the answer can be quoted back to whoever asked.

14

Reviews that a machine can read back

Your site today

Nothing on your site publishes reviews in a form a machine can read, so no star rating can appear next to you in a result and an assistant has nothing to quote when somebody asks for a recommendation.

When it is built

The built site carries the review markup, so every review collected from that point on can show as stars in a result as well as on the page.

Every line above was read off the pages themselves on 8 September 2026, both yours and the three concepts, so you can check any of it while we talk. The search and AI search side is measured in the check below.

SEO & AI Search Check

Checked penpm.com.au on 8 September 2026

Before any of the concepts existed I ran your current website through the same check I run on every Scalus site. It scored 70 out of 100 for how ready it is for Google, and 42 out of 100 for how ready it is for AI search.

The AI search number is the one worth talking about. It is whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI overviews can read the site and quote Peninsula Plumbing Maintenance when somebody asks them for a recommendation. At 42 out of 100 there is real ground to make up, and most of it is quick.

In total 8 items came back needing attention. They are listed below in the order I would fix them, and every one of them is included in a Scalus build.

70
Overall health
Google search readiness
42
AI search readiness
ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity
Search basics
The tags Google reads first.
82
Structured data
How machines understand the business.
0
AI search readiness
Whether answer engines can read and quote the site.
42
Site files
robots.txt, sitemap and llms.txt.
94
Technical health
HTTPS, headers and valid markup.
79

What I would fix

8 items
  1. Missing

    Structured data

This is the big one. There is no structured data on the site, so nothing on the page tells a machine that you are a business, what you do or where you are. It is the single largest reason AI search cannot quote you.

What I would do: Add the full structured data stack for the business, the services and the reviews.

  2. Missing

    Image alt text

Your images have no text description, so Google and screen readers cannot tell what is in them.

What I would do: Describe every image in plain words.

  3. Missing

    AI crawlers welcomed

The AI crawlers are not welcomed by name. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI each read the site with their own crawler, and if they are not named they may not read you at all.

What I would do: Name every current AI crawler as allowed.

  4. Missing

    HTML validity

The page code has validity errors, which can quietly break how a crawler reads it.

What I would do: Clean up the markup errors.

  5. Weak

    Indexable

The tags that tell Google it may show your images large and quote more of your text are missing.

What I would do: Add the full robots meta directives so your listing can show more.

  6. Weak

    llms.txt FAQ section

Your llms file has no question and answer section, which is the part models quote from.

What I would do: Add an FAQ section to the llms file.

  7. Weak

    Sitemap lastmod dates

Your sitemap does not say when pages last changed, so recrawls are slower than they need to be.

What I would do: Add last modified dates to the sitemap.

  8. Weak

    Security headers

Some standard security headers are missing. Not a ranking issue, but it is the sort of thing that gets a site flagged.

What I would do: Add the standard security headers.

Checked on 8 September 2026 with the same free checker at scalus.app/seo-geo-checker. Scores move as a site changes, so this is a snapshot of that day, not a permanent grade.
